DIAMOND HEAD and RAVEN, with TITANS EVE

One of the most legendary bands in the history of Heavy Metal, Diamond Head will be co-headlining the Rickshaw Theatre with fellow NWOBHMers Raven on Tuesday October 8th, 2013.

    Diamond Head
Synonymous with Iron Maiden, Def Leppard and Saxon, Diamond Head’s songs were first made popular in North America by Metallica. “We’re a combination of the two heads, Diamond Head and Motorhead. The epic feel is definitely from Diamond Head, while the simplicity came from Motorhead” says Metallica frontman James Hetfield. Writing heavy metal anthems such as “Helpless”, “It’s Electric”, “The Prince” and of course “Am I Evil” founding member Brian Tatler is quoted as saying “The songwriting was always one of my favourite parts of being in a band – the actual creative spark, when you both look at each other and laugh, like, that’s it!” Fans were delighted when a North American tour was announced earlier this year, however many were disappointed when only east coast dates were released. “I knew I had to do what I could to bring them to the west” states The Invisible Orange founder Abelardo “Mayo” Mayoral. “It took a lot of phone calls and eMails, but we made it happen!”

    Titans Eve
In their words: "Titans Eve is very excited and honoured to share the stage with the legendary Diamond Head and Raven. Two bands that helped shape metal in its formulative years and whose influence is still felt today, via their own music, as well as the bands they inspired and influenced. This will be one incredible night!"
