TesseracT on tour with Intronaut and Cloudkicker
with Witch of the Waste and The Nautilus
TesseracT began life as a solo project in a dark, cluttered room. With the initial idea to create music with no boundaries except that it must move you and make you want to groove, embrace and enhance you; giving you what you think you want and then taking you somewhere totally unexpected. Like the namesake novel (though not connected) and ideas surrounding the tesseract, the band creates ripples of musical realities and unseen (or in this case unheard of) sonic dimensions.
Los Angeles post-prog masters Intronaut return with their 4th and most impressive full length album to date; Habitual Levitations. Once again yielding thunderous, tribal drum beats, hypnotic bass patterns, angular guitar riffs and the trance-like vocals of Sacha Dunable, Intronaut pick up where they left off on 2010’s Valley of Smoke, though this time around, see the songs a bit more refined and cultivated.
Cloudkicker is a one man instrumental progressive metal project from Ben Sharp heavily influenced by math metal and post-rock. Sharp utilizes drum machines and custom-tuned guitars in his recordings. Most of his song titles, album titles, and art work are inspired, derived, or influenced by aviation. For example, each song title from Beacons was taken from actual black box recordings or radio transmissions from crashed or malfunctioning airplanes.
Witch of the Waste
Witch of the Waste was formed by friends who shared a mutual passion for aggressive music, art, and poetry. The goal was never to defy or define a genre, but rather to explore the nature of self expression and aesthetic experience through songs that are energetic loud and challenging.
Captivating a crowd in today's diversified and sub-genred music scene is a difficult task at best. The Nautilus has been doing just that to Vancouver metal and hardcore fans since June 2012 with a live show that leaves audiences in bipolar fits of raging mosh pits and standing stock still, listening intently.
