• Dave Phillips

Our self-deprecating hero of song began playing in Vancouver with his first band, The R.A.F., before beginning his tenure as a solo performer, opening for the likes of Craig Cardiff and Brian Dunn.

This seminal inspiration grew into a keen desire to explore, listen and learn. Eager to set off on his own, Dave began the first of several solo tours throughout the UK and Ireland. His debut tour was booked to a wide range of audiences in pubs and venues. Travelling by the grace of enthusiastic fans, a few distant relatives and the national rail services, he was able to test the limits of his own commitment to living the life of the touring musician.

Francois Marchand, Vancouver Sun's music critic spins some of his favourite tunes.
